Ratings: ‘Carmichael Show’ Closes Quietly, But NBC Still Wins Wednesday

ABC is runner-up in total viewers with Princess Diana doc

“The Carmichael Show” signed off for good last night, though just 2.5 million viewers marked the occasion.

Even so, NBC won Wednesday outright, thanks mostly to a two-hour “America’s Got Talent” recap show.

CBS finished second in the key 18-49 demographic’s primetime averages, though ABC was runner-up among overall audience members. The Disney-owned broadcast network aired Part 1 of its “Story of Diane” documentary from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.2 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted demo and in total viewers with an average of 5.8 million, according to preliminary numbers. “AGT” at 8 posted a 1.4/6 and 7.2 million viewers. The penultimate episode of “The Carmichael Show” at 10 had a 0.8/3 and 3.1 million viewers. The series finale at 10:30 slipped to a 0.7/3 and 2.5 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and third in viewers with 4.4 million. “Big Brother” at 8 earned a 2.0/9 and 6.6 million viewers. At 9, “Salvation” got a 0.6/3 and 3.4 million viewers.

ABC was third in ratings with a 0.9/4 and second in viewers with 5.2 million. Following repeats, Part 1 of Princess Diana documentary “The Story of Diana” at 9 landed a 1.0/4 and 6.1 million viewers.

Fox and Telemundo tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.7/3. Fox was fourth in total viewers with 2.5 million, Telemundo was fifth with 1.6 million.

For Fox, “MasterChef” at 8 grabbed a 0.9/4 and 3.4 million viewers. “The F Word” at 9 had a 0.5/2 and 1.7 million viewers.

Univision was sixth in ratings with 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with 0.3/1 and in viewers with 924,000, airing only reruns.
